Lomography H20 @ Toronto Image Works Gallery

September 8 thru November 30, 2004
Lomography H20 will be a group show featuring the images that 15 photographers create while exploring variations on the theme of water using Lomography's exciting new Frogeye underwater camera.
Alice Dixon, curator of Lomography H20, will ask 15 lomographic artists to interpret the theme of wateras an element, issue or inspiration and create a lomograph specifically for this exhibition using Lomography's new Frogeye underwater camera. The artists asked to participate in this exhibition will cover the spectrum from established photographers such as http://www.davidshrigley.com/ to young up-and-comers.This exhibition is fortunate to have the sponsorship support of the Lomographic Society Canada, who will provide the frogeyes, to be loaned in turn to each artist. We are also glad to have Tiger Beer to sponsor our opening reception for the exhibition.
Lomography is represented online by the Lomographic SocietyInternational with a very active website, - http://www.lomography.com/ - featuring the work of Lomographers from across the globe. Notice of our Lomography H20 exhibition will be posted on this site, as will our call forusers to contribute to our Lomography H20 Open Wall. Lomography H20 will as part of the exhibition provide a democratic venue for international submissions by offering wall space to any Lomographic Frogeye user who submits an image for posting.
